A new phase begins for FHP Transped – the first Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 mobile harbor crane has entered service, capable of handling over 650,000 tons of steel per year. An investment that combines operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.
It is the first hybrid crane at the Venice port, a technological first for the region and for FHP Group, which thus consolidates its leadership in the handling of all types of break bulk cargo.
With a lifting capacity of 125 tons and an operating radius of 51 meters, the new crane allows for the efficient handling of heavy loads without the need for repositioning, with rapid maneuvers of up to 120 meters per minute thereby optimizing operating times.
Equipped with an advanced new-generation diesel engine that uses AdBlue to further reduce emissions, the crane incorporates an intelligent energy recovery system – the energy generated during braking is reused for subsequent lifts, significantly reducing the stress on the engine, fuel consumption, and emissions. Its technology thus allows for 20% lower fuel consumption at full capacity compared to similar models.
Completing the terminal upgrade is the introduction of new high-efficiency horizontal vehicles to support crane performance. The new forklifts, equipped with Brigade anti-collision systems, raise safety and comfort standards for operators and allow the entire infrastructure to express its maximum operational capacity in a perfectly integrated logistics cycle.
A choice that reflects our Group’s commitment to an increasingly efficient and sustainable logistics future.
